Asian Art Museum

The Asian Art Museum is the world’s leading museum dedicated to connecting global audiences with Asian and Asian American Art and culture. Based in San Francisco, the museum hosts relics of the past, new innovative exhibits, and culture rich events in order to immerse visitors into the world of Asian and Asian American culture.

Our partnership with the museum started off with an interview shoot with the new director Dr. Soyoung Lee. We got to sit down with her and chat with her about her vision for the Museum moving forward.

Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries

Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries

Two Home Countries is the first solo museum exhibition in the Bay Area by Chiharu Shiota, best known for large-scale installations that fill spaces with densely woven webs of colored fibers. Featuring works from throughout Shiota’s career spanning installation, sculpture, video, drawing, and stage design, the exhibition offers a timely meditation on belonging, impermanence, and living with “in-betweenness.”

Our team covered the opening night in order to produce a variety of videos for the museum to use. We also got to film with Chiharu privately to highlight her in her own video.

RAVE INTO THE FUTURE

RAVE INTO THE FUTURE

Rave into the Future offers a space of joyful connection and community through a blend of music- and dance-inspired video, sculpture, photography, and room-sized immersive installations by women and queer artists from the West Asian diaspora.

Our team had the honor of interviewing the curator and a few of the artists involved in this exhibition. During the opening event, we got to capture all the joy and magic of celebrating such a unique exhibition and an unforgettable night!
